Year 2 Class Information

Elephants Class have PE on Monday & Thursday. Come to school in your school PE kit. This is:

  • a white t-shirt
  • royal blue or black shorts
  • navy blue or black hoodie and sweat pants
  • black pumps

Please note earrings should be taped before coming to school and no children should be wearing hoop earrings

Reading books will be changed weekly on a Wednesday in school and your child may be read with at any point within the week. Please ensure your child comes to school with their correct banded reading book and reading record each day. Library books will be changed on our library day each Wednesday.

  • English: Handwriting This website allows your child to watch how to form letters or to draw over the top of letters (free draw). We have been practising forming the letters in the Jumper Family (h, b, r, n, m, p). They know that h and b are ascenders that begin on the top line (Brave Monkey’s line), r, n and m start in the middle of the writing lines (Scared Money’s line) and that p is a descender that starts on Scared Monkey’s line but carries on past the bottom line (the ground).
